Located at the foot of the Andes, Awasi Mendoza is made up of 18 unique, adobe-style guest rooms and villas.
Set within a 60-acre private vineyard in Lujan de Cuyo, this celebrated property offers effortless access to some of Mendoza’s finest bodegas while remaining wonderfully removed from the world.
Its whitewashed walls and terracotta roofs are a modest nod to the Andean foothills that rise on the horizon. At its core is the cava – wine cellar – anchoring a main house steeped in Spanish colonial character.
Scattered discreetly amongst the vines, each 900-square-foot apartment is a self-contained retreat, with plunge pools that invite you to linger and terraces where the sunsets burn in colours that seem too vivid to name.
What we love about Awasi Mendoza
- The 18 rooms; each extremely spacious, and with an outdoor shower, private plunge pool, and rooftop terrace
- The incredible views of the Andes – be sure to watch the sunset from your rooftop terrace one evening
- The food; the on-site restaurant uses only organic, locally grown ingredients, and the food is to die for
- The extensive wine cellar that houses more than 250 varieties harvested locally
Spend your time visiting some of our favourite nearby wineries and enjoying wine tastings galore.
Days unfold like a sommelier’s dream. Enjoy unhurried lunches paired with impeccable varietals from this celebrated terroir, or saddle up for a leisurely ride followed by a vineyard picnic spread. The spa, a sanctuary in itself, features treatments infused with the lodge’s own wine.
When to Travel
Mendoza can be visited year round. The weather is warm between October and April, but for sun worshippers, the hottest days are between December and February. The wine harvest takes place in March and is a wonderful time to visit.
