This is gaucho country, where rural traditions and equestrian culture remain central to daily life.
Spend your days riding through the sierras, casting a line into clear mountain rivers, and exploring quiet walking trails. Its traditional estancias preserve the customs of the gauchos, showcasing Argentina’s rich pastoral heritage through asado barbecues, folk music, and equestrian displays.
The region is also rich in history, with a remarkable Jesuit legacy dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The finest examples can be found in Córdoba city itself and at the estancias of Alta Gracia, Santa Catalina, Jesús María, La Candelaria and Caroya.
