There are myriad activities on offer, including tennis, kayaking, polo, fishing, surfing, trekking, horseback riding and cattle herding. Perhaps most importantly of all, the on-site naturalist guides are in a league of their own. We strongly recommend combining a stay with another favourite Guanacaste property, Hacienda Montezuma.
Patagonia Camp is located on the edge of Torres del Paine National Park, in southern Patagonia.
There are direct daily commercial flights from Santiago with LATAM and Sky to Punta Arenas (4.5 hours from the lodge). Flights to Puerto Natales (an hour from the lodge) are less regular, but worth taking advantage of. Those arriving from Argentina should fly to El Calafate, followed by a four-hour land transfer.
The Guanacaste climate is warm, dry and breezy year-round, with a season that lasts about ten months. September and October tend to be Costa Rica’s wettest months. As it’s only available for private rental (not by room), we recommend La Hacienda for families and groups of friends.
