Awasi Mendoza

LUXURY WINE LODGE IN MENDOZA, ARGENTINA

WELCOME TO AWASI MENDOZA

At the foot of the Andes, Awasi Mendoza sits within a private vineyard in the heart of Argentina’s best-known wine region.

The estate lies in Luján de Cuyo, just 30km from the city of Mendoza, where Malbec has been grown for more than a century. At its centre is a Spanish colonial-style lodge, home to a restaurant, pool, wine cellar, spa and a handful of guest rooms. Beyond it, fourteen contemporary adobe villas are scattered among the vines, each with its own terrace and plunge pool.

Guests can spend their days walking or riding through the vineyards, tasting wines from the estate and the surrounding region, or simply relaxing by the pool. Beyond the estate, Mendoza’s wineries, the Andes and the Mendoza River are all within easy reach.

What we love about Awasi Mendoza

  • Its 17 standalone villas and rooms are designed for privacy, with fireplaces, outdoor living spaces and private plunge pools; the larger Vineyard Villas also feature outdoor hot tubs and rooftop terraces.
  • The incredible views of the Andes – be sure to watch the sunset from your rooftop terrace one evening.
  • The restaurant, led by Chef Hernán Zavaleta, whose menus celebrate the flavours of Mendoza using seasonal produce, much of it grown in the lodge’s own organic garden.
  • The extensive wine cellar that houses more than 250 varieties harvested locally, including bottles from Awasi’s own vineyard.
  • The flexibility to explore independently or choose Awasi’s fully hosted programme, with a private guide and vehicle to discover boutique wineries, mountain trails and nearby estancias.
  • The spa, with a wine bath, jacuzzi and sauna, and treatments using locally sourced grape seed extracts.
What to do at Awasi Mendoza

Wine is at the heart of the experience here.

Visit some of Mendoza’s most interesting wineries, from family-run estates with century-old vines to pioneering cellars producing some of Argentina’s finest wines. Meet the winemakers, explore underground cellars and enjoy private tastings, with the option to pair them with leisurely vineyard lunches showcasing seasonal local ingredients.

Beyond the wineries, head into the Andes on foot or horseback, cycle between neighbouring vineyards, raft the Mendoza River, or join a cooking class in the garden, celebrating Argentine classics. During the grape harvest, guests can take part in the vendimia before returning to the lodge for a wine-inspired spa treatment. Once or twice a week, the asado is fired up and there’s a professional tango display, for a relaxed introduction to the country’s food, wine and culture.
