Located in Santa Catalina, Estancia El Colibri is a 9-room hotel set in the gently rolling sierras of Cordoba.

What we love about Estancia El Colibri

  • At this 170-hectare Relais & Chateaux property, guests will enjoy a stay that combines luxury, the outdoors, and views of the Sierra de Cordoba mountains.
  • Guests can explore on foot, by mountain bike, or on horseback together with a gaucho. Other activities include bird watching, dove shooting, and farm tours.
  • Besides the many activities, visitors can unwind by the pool, visit the spa, or simply go for a stroll around the farm.  Guests can watch, as well as play, polo.
  • Cordoba is easily reached and yet the hotel feels a world away from the city. Additionally, other nearby day trips include Jesuit Ruins and the local doma (rodeo).
  • All rooms are bright and spacious. Each has a different hand-painted design and a fireplace. The three suites, two of which also contain separate living rooms, provide private terraces. They can also add extra beds where necessary.
  • The onsite restaurant prides itself on using ingredients from their vegetable garden or fruit trees in every dish. Lunch can be prepared in front of you and for dinner you can expect a traditional barbeque, rated the nation’s best by Argentine magazine Lugares.

What to do at Estancia El Colibri?

Mornings are the best time to get out and explore the countryside in style, heading into the estate on horseback or by mountain bike with your Gaucho guide. Later, enjoy a picnic lunch on the banks of the Santa Catalina River, then rest up by the pool for the afternoon and enjoy the view of the Sierra de Cordoba in the distance.

Spend the evening sampling the barbeque by the open fire and watching sunset over the pampas.
