A Luxury Journey into Bariloche & Northern Patagonia
Bariloche lies at the heart of northern Patagonia’s Lake District – a landscape of clear blue lakes, pine forests and Alpine-style villages, framed by the rugged Andes.
This is Patagonia at its gentlest: all the drama of the south, softened by green meadows and valleys scattered with small hamlets. There are ample opportunities for eating well and long afternoons with a book, but the real lure is the great outdoors: mountains, rivers and lakes seemingly made for riding, fishing and walking.
We have a handful of incredibly spoiling stays in Bariloche and the lakes that we love to send guests to, from lakeside hideaways to cosy family-run estancias and remote fishing lodges.

Northern Patagonia is a playground for the adventurous-minded, with its lakes and rivers providing incredible opportunities for rafting and kayaking.
Fly-fishing is first-rate, with brown and rainbow trout thriving in alpine streams creeks and fast-moving rivers within easy reach of Bariloche.
Riding in Northern Patagonia is outstanding. Those who enjoy getting out on horseback can stay on a working estancia, setting out each morning with the gauchos to herd cattle, breaking for long open-fire lunches of prime beef or fresh trout before a siesta beneath the trees or a dip in the river.
Come winter (July to September), Bariloche and nearby San Martín de los Andes become South America’s ski capital, offering everything from family-friendly pistes to challenging backcountry runs with wide-open views across the Andes.
From the blue ice of El Calafate to the whale-rich shores of Peninsula Valdés and the dusty, cactus-studded northwest, we open doors to Argentina’s most remote corners, with the people who know them best.
