WELCOME TO EL MORADO RANCH

Cattle drives and river dives; days in the saddle and nights under canvas: this is El Morado Ranch.

Prepare to fully embrace the rugged romance of Argentine culture–and for it to embrace you in return–at this dreamy cattle ranch in northern Patagonia.

Under the guidance of gauchos, you’ll trek the peaks and valleys of the region on horseback, gallop through lowlands, herd angus cows, bathe in spring water, and cook over fire. A riding holiday in Argentina doesn’t get more real than this.

What we love about El Morado Ranch

  • Roughly 100 responsive and eager horses to connect with over the course of your holiday.
  • 22,000 hectares of  lush grasslands, soaring Andean peaks, thermal baths, rivers brimming with trout, and gaping waterfalls.
  • A raw and dusty hands-on experience, marked by days of riding and working alongside your guides and fellow riders.
  • Aside from riding, you’ll have ample opportunities to rest, fish, trek, swim, and cook amongst the open landscape.
  • Joyful and wholesome guides whose passion for the land is palpable, and who make each rider feel like part of the team.
  • A truly off the grid experience that allows you to deeply connect with yourself with your fellow riders.
What to do at El Morado Ranch

Disconnect to reconnect El Morado Ranch, where everyday is as wild as it is wonderful.

Begin your riding holiday at El Morado Ranch with a hearty home-cooked breakfast before selecting your saddle and horse. You’ll ride for several hours through the splendor of the Andean hillsides and plains until you reach the cattle.

Spend the next few days droving the herd to greener pastures, helping count the cows and redirect strays. You may be a guest, but everyone has a job.

Sooth your riding muscles with a well-deserved dip in the natural pools around Salta de Agrio – a picturesque, 45-meter waterfall. Spend your time out of the saddle fly fishing for trout in the Trolope River, preparing picnics, or sipping a stiff evening drink by the campfire under the wide open sky.
