Tribal Hotel

WELCOME TO TRIBAL HOTEL

Arguably one of Nicaragua’s best boutique hotels.

Tribal is tucked away in the colourful colonial streets of Granada. With a tropical garden complemented by an eclectic art collection and bohemian interiors, Tribal encapsulates the natural beauty of Nicaragua.

What we love about Tribal

  • With only seven rooms, Tribal feels more like a private home
  • It’s owned and styled by New York restaurateurs Jean-Marc Houmard (of Indochine and Acme fame) and Yvan Cussigh
  • The service is down-to-earth, laid-back and personal
  • Beautiful, tiled dipping pool is ideal to cool off or lay next to with a cocktail in hand
  • In the evening, the courtyard turns into a romantic torch-lit lounge
  • Tribal is just a few minutes walk to Granada’s restaurants, art galleries and markets
  • Massages can be organised on your room’s private balcony
  • Nearby to Laguna de Apoyo, Volcano Masaya and the 365 Islets of Granada
What to do at Tribal

Granada, one of the oldest colonial cities in the Americas, is filled with culture and history.

Wander through its bustling streets, pass slow mornings in one of its charming cafes and visit local artisan markets. There’s also the opportunity to explore the waters of Lake Nicaragua and Islets of Granada by kayak, paddleboard or boat.

Venture out of the city to be enchanted by Nicaragua’s dramatic landscapes. Spend the day along the shores of Laguna de Apoyo, a volcanic crater lake. Dotted along its forested shoreline are beach clubs, where you can escape the heat and swim freely in the lagoon’s fresh waters. For the more adventurous, hike through Masaya National Park, where you can witness a bubbling lava lake.

Make sure to keep a day (or two) free to enjoy Tribal’s stunning spaces. Curl up in a cabana, hear the stories behind each handpicked design piece and while away the hours within your private outdoor living room.

TRIBAL HOTEL NICARAGUA

Tribal is located in UNESCO-protected Granada, a 500-year-old colonial city on the shores of Lake Nicaragua.

From Granada, it is approximately 50 mins by car to Nicaragua’s capital Managua, 90 mins to the beaches along the Pacific coast and 1 hour 50 mins to the Costa Rican border.

There are daily flights to Managua from Mexico City and Panama City.

When
to Travel

December to April

Although Nicaragua can be visited year-round, we’d recommend travelling to Granada between December and April for the sunniest days and minimal rainfall.
