Mandla

Mandla

Built in 2019 and located on the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua, Mandla is a charming beachfront hideaway only available for exclusive rental.

Owners Damian and Katie ensure that every stay is as personalised as possible, with attention to detail unlike anywhere else in Nicaragua.

What we love about Mandla

  • The location, just an hour’s drive from Nicaragua’s capital, Managua
  • The three rooms, all with air-conditioning and spectacular ocean views
  • The beachfront pool and swim-up bar
  • The food – owner and chef Katie is in charge of the kitchen, and creates bespoke menus with clients ahead of arrival
  • The cocktails – created using only the freshest ingredients, including homemade syrups
What to do at Mandla

For those looking to relax, spend your days reading a good book on the beach or by the pool. Enjoy indulgent long lunches and cocktails galore.

Surfing is a highlight of every stay at Mandla. El Transito, the small town where Mandla is located, has four surf breaks spread across a mile stretch. Damian and Katie have sourced the best local surfing guides to teach guests their tips and tricks.

In addition to surfing, other activities include horse rides along the beach, hikes to nearby volcano hikes, sand boarding, and quad biking.

Casa San Agustin

Mandla is located in the quiet beach town of El Transito, on the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua. Located just an hour’s drive from Managua, Nicaragua’s capital, Mandla is extremely accessible.

There are direct flights from Managua to Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, and Panama, meaning that a stay at Mandla can be easily combined with another Central American country.

When
to Travel

Although Nicaragua can be visited year-round, we’d recommend travelling between December and April for the sunniest days and minimal rainfall. Mandla is closed in May and October due to poor weather.
