Casa Angatu, Brazil | Plan South America

Brazil | Private Properties | Property

Hidden amongst a tropical forest, Casa Agnatu is a typical Bahia villa that beautifully blends outdoor and indoor living spaces. It’s a short walk from both Trancoso’s colourful ‘Quadrado’ and its unspoiled stretches of beach.

What we love about Casa Angatu

  • Casa Angatu sleeps up to ten guests in five suites each with a private bathroom
  • Its garden and outdoor living spaces are complete with barbecue, swimming pool and pizza oven
  • Built by local artisans, the private villa is full of Brazilian charm
  • Trancoso’s beaches and reefs are great for surfing, kite surfing, scuba diving and snorkelling
  • Activities on offer include golf, horse riding, biking, quad biking and Capoeira (Brazilian martial arts)
  • Ideal setting for large families or a group of friends to come together

What to do at Casa Angatu?

Trancoso is special for its simplicity. Spend your days along one of its untouched beaches. Swim, learn to kite surf or don’t move from your sunlounger!

Once the sun has gone down, walk back up to the villa for a barbecue then head out for caipirinhas at one of the beach bars.

Map & location

Casa Angatu, built by the Fenestraz family, is located in Trancoso along Brazil’s Bahia coast. Once just a fishing village, Trancoso now draws a very elite crowd whilst still maintaining its local, laidback charm.

The nearest airport, Porto Seguro Airport, is 1 hour and 30 mins by car. There are direct flights to Porto Seguro from a number of cities within Brazil, including Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and Sao Paulo.

When to Travel

Trancoso is warm year round, and the temperature varies very little throughout the year. There’s likely to be more rain between April and July, although it can rain at any time of the year.

If you’re after Brazilian culture, visit Casa Angatu during one of Trancoso’s festivals.
