La Villarrica

WELCOME TO LA VILLARRICA

La Villarrica is a rustic, homely haven surrounded by the flowing rivers, pristine lakes and verdant woodland of Chile’s Lake District.

With the mighty Villarrica Volcano providing an impressive backdrop, the 9000-hectare private estate offers unrivalled opportunities for horseback riding, birdwatching, hiking, and the thrill of selective hunting amidst wild boar, red deer, and fallow deer.

What we love about La Villarrica

  • The main house sleeps up to 12 in 6 bedrooms and there’s also 2 extra bedrooms in the secluded lake house
  • It feels like home with its warm, wooden interiors and roaring fires
  • No reason to leave the estate – there are horses, walking trails, kayaks, paddle boards, ping pong and board games
  • The romance of the lake house – it’s 10-15 mins by car from the main house (there’s really no better place on earth)
  • It’s location – secluded within the vast estate yet nearby to hot springs, national parks and local artisans’ workshops
  • They offer birdwatching, selective hunting and stalking as well as trout and carp fishing
  • Incredible opportunity to try volcano skiing (in July, August and September)
What to do at La Villarrica

The mesmerising landscapes surrounding La Villarrica beckon to be explored.

It’s a pristine playground of nearly endless outdoor activities.

Discover the glistening lakes by boat, kayak or paddle board. Follow trails by foot or horseback along shorelines, over rolling hills and up to the mountain peaks. Set off for a day of fishing or hunting, or if you visit during winter, you can even ski down the majestic Villarrica Volcano!
