La Villarrica

WELCOME TO LA VILLARRICA

La Villarrica is a rustic, homely haven surrounded by the flowing rivers, pristine lakes and verdant woodland of Chile’s Lake District.

With the mighty Villarrica Volcano providing an impressive backdrop, the 9000-hectare private estate offers unrivalled opportunities for horseback riding, birdwatching, hiking, and the thrill of selective hunting amidst wild boar, red deer, and fallow deer.

At the heart of the estate is the main house, which can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 bedrooms; there is also a small, impossibly-romantic lake house located 10-15 minutes drive away, housing a further two bedrooms.

What we love about La Villarrica

  • The spectacular natural setting, with unrivalled access to secluded forests, rivers and lakes – the trout and carp fishing is particularly exceptional
  • The cosy, traditional-style interiors – think warm wood and roaring fires
  • It is at once secluded within the vast estate, yet still within easy reach of the area’s hot springs, national parks and local artisans’ workshops
  • A range of lower-octane activities on offer mean there’s no need to leave the estate – think birdwatching, walking trails, kayaking, paddle boarding, ping pong and board games
What to do at La Villarrica

The mesmerising landscapes surrounding La Villarrica beckon to be explored.

It’s a pristine playground of nearly endless outdoor activities.

Discover the glistening lakes by boat, kayak or paddle board. Follow trails by foot or horseback along shorelines, over rolling hills and up to the mountain peaks. Set off for a day of fishing or hunting, or if you visit during winter, you can even ski down the majestic Villarrica Volcano. (July, August and September only)
