Lying at the heart of Arequipa’s centre, Cirqa is a parador of arches, vaulted ceilings, exposed walls & open courtyards.
With the surrounding volcanoes providing an impressive backdrop, the interiors of Cirqa are left simple, fresh & bright, drawing attention to the property’s heritage.
What we love about Cirqa
- There are three differing categories to choose from. Our favourite Boveda has high vaulted ceilings, open arches & features a free-standing bath
- A plunge pool sits at the centre of the patio for warmer days
- Check out the spa therapy room for relaxing weary muscles after long days of exploring
- Surrounded by traditional Peruvian Picanterías (lunchtime restaurants) head chef Maria draws inspiration from native ingredients, flavours & spices. Produce is often sourced from an organic roof garden
Experts are on hand to take guests to Arequipa’s monasteries including the azure blue & ochre red walls of Santa Catalina.
Discover the history of the Incan sacrifice mummy Juanita at the Santaurias Andinas Museum. Explore the vast Colca Canyon where majestic condors swoop overhead.
Combine a visit to Cirqa with a stay at Titilaka, their sister property on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Cirqa is located in Arequipa. The hotel is a 30-minute drive from the local airport, which has direct flights to Lima, Cusco and Puerto Maldonado.
There are direct flights to Lima from London which take approximately 12 hours.
When to Travel
The best time to visit Arequipa is generally during the dry season, which runs from April to October. During these months, expect clear skies, warmer temperatures, & lower chances of rainfall.
