Casa Polanco, Mexico | Plan South America

Design Hotel | Luxury | Mexico | Property

Nestled in Mexico City’s upscale Polanco neighborhood, the charming Casa Polanco, originally a private residence, is an intimate all-suite property. Bold and design-forward, the stunning property feels like a friend’s chic home. With a fascinating blend of original splendor and modern touches, Casa Polanco is our favourite hotel in CDMX, showcasing an impressive architectural exchange of materials and styles.

What we love about Casa Polanco

  • Originally constructed in the 1930s as a private residence, Casa Polanco has since been owned by some of Mexico City’s most notable aristocratic families
  • There are 19 suites, all with cool white interiors that seamlessly combine the grandeur of Casa Polanco’s original construction with modern elements
  • Retro furnishings meet with classic artworks, contemporary sculptures and green marble floors, resulting in a harmonious blend of timeless elegance and modern flair
  • A library and reading room offer scenic views of Parque Lincoln, providing the perfect setting for getting lost in a good book or engaging in delightful conversation
  • Located in chic Polanco, nearby the trendy neighbourhoods of Roma and Condesa, the property is surrounded by museums, galleries and bars
  • Casa Polanco is noticeably tranquil, with birdsong echoing throughout the property in the mornings and the smell of eucalyptus in the air

Activities abound in buzzing Polanco, from the designer shopping on Avenida Masaryk to the grand performance space at Il Artes PalaceBe, an Art Nouveau Masterpiece created for Mexico’s centenary independence celebrations in 1910 but where the National Institute of Fine Arts is now housed.

Stroll the leafy boulevards of Colonia Polanco with its Spanish Colonial Mansions and revel at the futuristic architecture to the north, including Museo Soumaya, which houses one of Latin America’s largest aquariums.

Pay a visit to the Frida Kahlo Museum, located in the artist’s former home of Casa Azul. And don’t forget to soak up the urban symmetry and artistic design of Parque Lincoln, located directly in front of the Casa Polanco.
