Ambergris Caye

The sugar-white sands fringing the Caribbean coast of Belize are perfect for a few days of beach relaxation after an action-packed adventure through the country’s jungle-clad interior. There are thousands of little islands (cayes) dotted along the Belizean coast and Ambergris Caye is one of the most beautiful and vibrant.

A short caravan-flight takes you to the intrinsically Caribbean town of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye’s southern tip; its streets oozing ‘cool’ as reggae lilts from colourful houses, street-food vendors sell fresh seafood caught early that morning, and locals wander barefoot, their laid-back attitude instantly infectious.

Whether you choose to stay in a small boutique hotel close to the restaurants and bars of buzzing San Pedro, or opt for a peaceful, private island hideaway (Leonardo DiCaprio owns an island nearby), we will arrange every detail so that your beach-escape is stress-free, with an excellent team of private chefs, guides and diving instructors on hand to make your experience even more sybaritic.

A short boat ride takes you to the second largest barrier reef in the world to snorkel with reef sharks and turtles, or journeying a little further, you’ll reach the famous Blue Hole for world-class scuba diving.
