Tierra Atacama

WELCOME TO TIERRA ATACAMA

Tierra Atacama is a sleek, yet laid-back lodge located in San Pedro de Atacama, in northern Chile.

Guests can be as active or as slow-moving as they like; enjoying all that the Atacama has to offer, or simply relaxing by the pool or in the spa.

What we love about Tierra Atacama

  • The thirty-two spacious rooms – our favourite are the Poniente rooms which have huge windows & private terraces
  • The outdoor pool with moon-shaped wicker sun loungers
  • The incredible views of the Licancabur volcano
  • The Uma Spa offers spectacular volcanic mud treatments
  • Tierra’s sustainability efforts – the ingredients used in the restaurant are locally sourced & solar energy is used
  • The daily changing menu with Chilean-inspired food
What to do at Tierra Atacama

Excursions at Tierra Atacama are done in small groups. Visit the Moon Valley, Cejar Lagoon, Tatio Geysers, and the hot springs at Puritama. After dinner, head off and watch the incredible night skies of the Atacama desert.

We recommend our clients spend three or four nights at Tierra Atacama. The longer you spend there, the more acclimatised you will become to the altitude & the more excursions you will be able to do at a higher altitude.

The Uma Spa is a highlight at Tierra Atacama. The massages are out of this world & always well-deserved after a long day of exploring.

TIERRA ATACAMA

Tierra Atacama is located on the edge of San Pedro de Atacama, just over an hour’s drive from Calama International Airport.

There are direct daily flights from Santiago to Calama & the flying time is approximately two hours. Calama can also be reached directly from Lima.

When
to Travel

We recommend visiting the Atacama Desert between April & December, as some rain can be seen between January & March.

All year round, there is a noticeable fluctuation in the temperature between day & night.
