The Singular

SANTIAGO, CHILE

WELCOME TO THE SINGULAR HOTEL

Just steps from Lastarria’s galleries and antique bookshops, The Singular is a polished retreat in Santiago’s creative quarter.

With a rooftop terrace that peers over San Cristobal Hill and a kitchen that dances between French technique and Chilean produce, The Singular Santiago is as much a sanctuary for the senses as it is a city hotel.

Interiors are a confident blend of old-world European elegance and contemporary South American design: think heavy velvet, polished wood, and splashes of modern art. Every inch of the hotel is thoughtfully considered, a grown-up escape that doesn’t try too hard.

What we love about The Singular

  • A rooftop bar with over 100 liquors and panoramic views of Santiago and San Cristobal Hill.
  • The Singular Restaurant: a menu rooted in Chilean terroir, elevated with French flair.
  • Neoclassical-meets-modern interiors, warm and refined without the stiffness
  • A knockout location in Lastarria, minutes from galleries, museums, and wine bars.
  • The rooftop pool, a rare treat in the city, is the perfect place to cool off between outings.
  • Café 294 serves some of Santiago’s best coffee and pastries in a stylish yet relaxed setting.

What to do at the Singular

Santiago is a city that rewards curiosity.

Breakfasts stretch into lunch at the Singular’s Café 294, a pâtisserie that would be right at home in Paris. Afternoons call for cocktails on the roof or a dip in the outdoor pool before heading out to explore Barrio Bellas Artes or the city’s thriving restaurant scene.

From The Singular, you can wander straight into the cobbled streets of Lastarria, packed with indie cinemas, historic houses, and street-side antiquarians. Hop between museums like the Museo de Artes Visuales or the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, then sip Carménère in a wine bar that spills out onto the pavement.

Further afield, you can take a funicular up Cerro San Cristóbal for panoramic views and a sense of the city’s sprawl. Hungry? Dive into Mercado Central for seafood empanadas or book a table at Boragó, one of Latin America’s most celebrated restaurants. And if you’re craving nature, day trips to the Andes or the vineyards of Maipo and Casablanca are easily arranged.

Chile's Capital City, Santiago

When to Travel

Year-round

Santiago is a year-round destination, but spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) are particularly lovely: warm, dry, and less crowded. Summer (December to February) can get hot, though you’ll often have the city to yourself as locals head to the coast. Winter (June to August) is mild and perfect for pairing city days with skiing in the nearby Andes.
