Pristine Camp, El Calafate

EL CALAFATE, ARGENTINA
WELCOME TO PRISTINE CAMP EL CALAFATE

The best view of Perito Moreno is the one without anyone else in it.

Set on the private Dos Lagos ranch, Pristine Camp Patagonia looks across the Rico Arm of Lake Argentino toward the ice-blue wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. There’s not a bus, boardwalk or tour group in sight, just your dome, the steppe, and the silence.

This is Patagonia pared back to its elements: fire, air, earth and water. The domes are simple but elegant, meals are hearty and regional, and days unfold with slow purpose. Guided rides across the ranch, a quiet paddle by the shore, a lesson in cooking or gaucho craft. Glamping, but grown up.

What we love about Pristine Camp El Calafate

  • Direct glacier views from every dome. No hiking, driving or jostling required.
  • Set on a private ranch far from the crowds of El Calafate.
  • Thoughtful sustainability, from solar power to zero-waste systems.
  • Fully all-inclusive: transfers, food, drinks, and activities are all taken care of.
  • It’s small scale with just six domes, beautifully designed and quietly luxurious.
  • Experiences are led by a team of hosts, not guides, who make you feel like part of the place.
What to do at Pristine Camp El Calafate

Patagonia’s best bits, without the buses.

Explore the surrounding Dos Lagos ranch on foot, horseback or bike, guided by hosts who grew up on the land. Visit hidden viewpoints over the Perito Moreno Glacier, or join a day trip by boat to see the south face calving into the lake.

Back at camp, try your hand at traditional recipes by the fire, learn about the pioneer history of the region, or settle in with a drink as the sky turns gold. The pace is yours to set and there’s no wrong way to spend the day.

When to Travel

October to April

The camp operates during Patagonia’s summer season, October through April. December to March brings long days (up to 17 hours of daylight), with average highs around 20°C ideal for hiking and boat trips. April is crisp and golden, while October offers peace and solitude ahead of high season. The glacier is magnificent year-round, but shoulder months mean fewer crowds.
