In the prestigious Recoleta neighbourhood lies the elegant and glamorous Palacio Duhau. Originally constructed for the Duhaus family in the 1930s, this neoclassical palace is now owned by the Park Hyatt Group and has hosted various famous guests, including Barack Obama. Divided into two sections, the modern wing features contemporary rooms with palace views, while the Palacio wing has 23 suites that capture the style of the Belle Époque. With high ceilings and marble floors, the hotel has a rich history and grandeur, yet the friendly staff ensure you feel at home in the palace.

Enjoy breakfast in the immaculate gardens then stroll through the botanical gardens. Check out the hotel’s art gallery, Paseo de las Artes Duhau. Head out to Recoleta’s leafy streets on foot or wheels with one of the hotel’s bicycles. Return to the Palacio Duhau for their afternoon tea, best enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the gardens. Ask your butler to make a dinner reservation in advance. The old-world steakhouse Fervor is on your doorstep, as is the Relais & Châteaux-owned restaurant Aramburu. Alternatively, opt for a wine and cheese pairing from the hotel’s cheese cellar. End the day with a cocktail by the fireplace in the Oakbar.
