After breakfast, head down to O Rancho, O Sítio’s spot on the beach, to be kitted up for activities on the clear turquoise water.
Head out on a double kayaking, or try paddle boarding, snorkelling. Back on the beach, pass the time with with ball and racket games on the sand. Take a short boat ride to the the lively island town of Abraão is a short boat ride away, for lunch and to enjoy a livelier beach life.
In the evening, laze in a hammock on your veranda. O Salão, which doubles up as the breakfast / dining room, is a shared space to feel at home, with sofas, books and games.
Arrival at O Sítio is exclusively by boat, with departures from three points, ranging between 20-40 minutes transfer time.
The closest international airport is Rio de Janeiro (GIG), approximately 2.5 hours by land.
When to Travel
The subtropical climate on Ilha Grande means it is warm to hot throughout the year. In the summer (December to February) it is hot and humid, whereas in the winter (June to August), the temperatures lower and it is less rainy.
