With the Belize Barrier Reef just offshore, days at Matachica revolve around the water.

When To Travel
November to May
Matachica is open year-round, with the best weather from November to May during Belize’s dry season when temperatures average 26–30°C and days are mostly sunny. This is perfect for reef excursions and lazy beach afternoons. For divers and snorkellers, marine life is active year-round, though April and May often offer the clearest waters.
