A thoughtfully crafted tented camp in the Sacred Valley centred around native Peruvian flora and local ways of life.
Las Qolqas is tucked deep in the centre of the valley giving it a feeling of peace and solitude, but its location at just a 30 minute walk from Ollantaytambo town also makes it easily accessible.
Due to its position in the trough of the valley, dramatic canyon views surround the camp, while in your immediate proximity, a vibrant botanical garden weaves throughout the property, providing a haven of comfort and calm amongst the towering Andean mountains.
What we love about Las Qolqas
- Safari-style tented lodging provided for couples, families and groups of up to 8 people.
- Serene and raw natural surroundings.
- Each luxury tent is surrounded by and named after its own native Peruvian flower.
- Distinctive geodesic dome for yoga, pilates and music playing to take advantage of the acoustics.
- Founded upon values of social and environmental sustainability.
- Employ native people and use all local, organic produce where possible.
- Use a knowledgeable local guide who takes guests on any hikes or other activities.
- Source dishes for the restaurant from their very own garden which surrounds the property.
- Bar offering exclusively Peruvian liquors.

The camp is settled amongst ancient Inca trails, bringing spectacular hikes right to your tent door.
Wake up to the serenity of the Sacred Valley, and enjoy a slow morning drinking home-grown infusions with a breakfast of your choosing. Or, rise with the sun and head to the geodesic dome for some yoga and a gentle walk around the property’s botanical garden.
A trusted local guide is on hand to take guests on any hike they wish: be that a visit to the iconic Machu Picchu, or a more intrepid hike to the secluded Pumamarca where you’ll likely encounter some native villages or a resident llama. The camps’ proximity to Ollantaytambo town allows guests plenty of opportunity for independent exploration, and the guides at Las Qolqas will make sure you don’t miss any must-see archaeological sites.
Aside from hiking, guests can visit the Moray salt mines, go mountain biking and rafting, or hop onto the Andean Explorer to see the soaring mountains by train from below.
