Hotel Bidasoa

SANTIAGO, CHILE

WELCOME TO HOTEL BIDASOA

Botanical, boutique, and beloved by locals. Tucked into leafy Vitacura, Hotel Bidasoa is Santiago’s quietly cool hideaway.

With a jungle of tropical plants, a solar-heated rooftop pool, and two standout restaurants that draw locals as often as guests, Bidasoa is a little oasis in the capital’s most elegant barrio.

Interiors lean green: light pours through oversized windows, the scent of fresh herbs lingers in the air, and sustainability is the blueprint. Whether you’re here for a city break or bookending Patagonia, this is a stay with heart, soul, and something leafy in your cocktail.

What we love about Hotel Bidasoa

  • A true boutique feel with just 87 rooms and an atmosphere that feels more home than hotel.
  • It’s a long-time favourite among well-heeled locals and in-the-know travellers.
  • One of the greenest hotels in Santiago: solar panels, electric car chargers, eco-design throughout.
  • The Bidasoa Restaurant spotlights seasonal produce, creative vegetarian options, and stylish locals at lunch.
  • The rooftop pool and terrace boast sweeping views of the Andes foothills.
  • Located in Vitacura, it is minutes from Bicentenario Park and top galleries, yet peaceful and quiet.

What to do at Hotel Bidasoa

Santiago is a city that rewards curiosity.

Mornings are for coffee at Casa Sanz or a swim in the garden pool surrounded by palms. Use the hotel as a base for strolling leafy streets, browsing nearby design shops and visiting Parque Bicentenario. The Museo Ralli and Fundación Cultural de Providencia are nearby and perfect for a slow art fix.

Lunch can mean oysters and natural wine at the Bidasoa Restaurant or a longer affair at a vineyard in the Maipo Valley – we’ll arrange the transfer. Come evening, swap your sandals for something smarter and wander into nearby El Golf for Santiago’s best tables. Or stay put for pisco cocktails and live jazz at Casa Sanz, followed by a nightcap under the rooftop palms.

When to Travel

Year-round

Santiago is a year-round destination, but spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) are particularly lovely: warm, dry, and less crowded. Summer (December to February) can get hot, though you’ll often have the city to yourself as locals head to the coast. Winter (June to August) is mild and perfect for pairing city days with skiing in the nearby Andes.
