Estancia El Porvenir

PATAGONIA, ARGENTINA

WELCOME TO ESTANCIA EL PORVENIR

In the heart of Argentine Patagonia, Estancia El Porvenir is a 15,000-hectare, family-owned private ranch. Completely buy-out only, experience authentic estancia life with all the comforts of a beautifully kept six-bedroom house.

Still a working cattle farm, El Porvenir is run by Julia and Frederik, whose families have been in these valleys for decades. Days are shaped around whatever pace you feel like: horse rides up into the mountains, gaucho-style cattle drives, long asados in the garden, and lazy afternoons in the hot tub after a morning on the river.

What sets it apart? The total privacy, the real wilderness, and the feeling of stepping into a place that’s quietly, and proudly, doing things its own way.

What we love about Estancia El Porvenir

  • 15,000 hectares of private Patagonian wilderness, entirely for your group alone.
  • Proper gaucho experiences, from cattle drives to nights spent camping under the stars.
  • Access to two rivers for wild swimming and trout fishing.
  • The family-run feel, with Julia and Frederik welcoming guests as if into their own home.
  • A perfect mix of comfort and adventure, with a hot tub, fireplaces, and endless trails to explore.

What to do at El Porvenir

Days at El Porvenir are yours to design.

Saddle up for multi-day horse rides through remote valleys, stopping at mountain cabins or sleeping out under the stars. Spend slow afternoons fly fishing in the estate’s two rivers, or hike across high-altitude trails with views to Lanín Volcano.

Back at the ranch, join the team for a gaucho-style cattle drive, cool off with a swim, or settle in for a cookery class with the chef. For something special, head to a nearby lake for a private picnic or spend a day on the golf course just minutes away.

When To Travel

November to March

Estancia El Porvenir is at its best from November to March, when long, warm days (typically 15–30°C) are perfect for riding, fishing, and hiking. This is Patagonia’s summer, with little rainfall and near-endless daylight to make the most of the outdoors. Wildlife is active throughout the season, with good chances of spotting red deer, condors, and puma tracks on the trails. Outside these months, temperatures drop and conditions become less predictable.
