Each day of shooting at El Monte is both unique and spectacular.
Spend your days surrounded by hills, valleys and forests on high-volume dove shoots and pigeon hunts. Break up the day with a traditional asado lunch served in the field, followed by a quick siesta!
For those not interested in wingshooting, there’s plenty of other activities. Horse ride, hike or mountain bike through the breathtaking Comechingones mountains. Visit local silversmiths, artisans and weavers in nearby Villa de Merlo or indulge in a long lunch accompanied by local Argentine wines. There’s also an olive oil farm near to the lodge that offers tours and tastings.
Back at the lodge, gather together in the garden for a sundowner or put your legs up by the fire with a glass of Malbec.
El Monte is a bird shooter’s paradise located in Yacanto village within the San Luis Province of Argentina.
Cordoba airport is a 3 hour drive from the lodge. There are direct flights to Cordoba from Buenos Aires or Santiago de Chile.
Alternatively, there are less frequent flights from Buenos Aires to San Luis airport, which is just over 2 hours from El Monte by car.
It is also possible to fly via a private charter directly to Valle Conlara Airport which is very close to the lodge. A private charter from Cordoba takes 30 minutes.
The hunting season at El Monte runs from March to September. Pigeon season runs from mid-April through early July.
