Chablé Maroma

WELCOME TO CHABLE MAROMA

A place where time stands still, Chablé Maroma is a far cry from neighbouring mega-resorts.

Nestled amid jungle and overlooking the sparkling Caribean sea, this intimate resort offers an enchanting escape from the ordinary.

Owned by a local Mexican family and tucked away on the coastline of the Punta Maroma Reserve, Chablé Maroma is one of Playa del Carmen’s best-kept secrets.

What we love about Chablé Maroma

  • The resort is family-owned and led by local staff to respect and replenish the local community
  • Located on the Punta Maroma reserve, this protected strip of coastline is untouched and secluded
  • With two on-site restaurants, guests can choose between various regional Mexican cuisines
  • The 70 luxury villas are all the work of renowned interior designer Paulina Morán, who placed nature as a central focus for Chablé Maroma while paying homage to Mexican artisanal traditions
  • The resort is small enough to stroll around without needing a golf cart—unlike many nearby monstrosities
  • You’ll find a variety of spa and wellness treatments on offer, from traditional ceremonies to ocean purification
What to do at Chablé Maroma

Chablé Maroma is the place to relax at the end of a Mexican adventure.

Kayak through the turquoise waters, snorkel with turtles and manatees, take a yoga class on the beach, or book the private cenote experience.

If you’re after some adventure, Playa del Carmen is surrounded by archaeological sites. Explore traditional Mayan villages and embark on a jungle trek to discover the hidden gems of the region.

Still, the resort’s beating heart is its sprawling private beach. Get lost in a good book as you sink your toes into the powdery sands, and don’t forget to rejuvenate mind, body, and soul at the spa.

This intimate hotel is better suited to couples over families.

Chablé Maroma is located 12 miles north of Playa del Carmen and around 30 miles from Cancún. Cancún’s International Airport (CUN) is the most popular entry point for the Yucatan if arriving by plane.

The drive to Chablé Maroma takes around 35 minutes.

When
to Travel

December to March

The best time to visit Playa del Carmen is during the dry season from December to March. The weather is most settled at this time of year with average highs of around 28 degrees Celcius and little rainfall.

The summer months see hurricane season sweep over the Yucatan. You can still expect sunny spells but temperatures are high, and humidity even higher.
