Perched on hill Cerro Alegre, Casa Higueras is a 1920s mansion once home to one of Valparaíso’s thriving aristocratic families. Carefully restored to be a stylish boutique hotel, 20 rooms are dispersed over the property’s labyrinth-like five floors.

On-site restaurant, Maralegre overlooks the bay and the pool. Serving up a simple menu of ceviches, squid ink pasta, dishes are paired with Chilean wines produced in the nearby Casablanca and Colchagua Valleys.
