What to do at Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge?

Set off at sunrise to marvel at the Amazon’s kaleidoscopic birdlife, paddle through the mysterious Rio Negro to visit local communities or spend the day exploring the countless canals, lakes and islands of the Anavilhanas archipelago by boat.

Return to Anavilhanas Lodge for home-cooked meals and to dip in the swimming pool. As the sky begins to burn orange, head down to the floating deck for sundowners. After dark, venture out to witness the jungle’s nightlife! Under the light of the stars, spot birds, sloths, snakes and alligators hidden in the sounds of darkness.

Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge has a very privileged location directly across from Anavilhanas National Park in the mosquito-less Rio Negro region of the Amazon Rainforest.

The remote hotel is a 3 hour drive or a 30 minute seaplane from Manaus, Brazil. There are direct flights to Manaus from Sao Paulo.

When to Travel

The best time to visit the Brazilian Amazon is between June and October.
