Days at Mint always begin with a communal breakfast
Chat with other guests and share stories from the days prior before heading for a mid-morning surf in Santa Teresa’s famous waves or jumping in on a yoga session.
If you’re after a little more adventure, try zip lining through the jungle or exploring by ATV and visiting the nearby waterfalls. Or you can opt for a wander around Santa Teresa town and maybe a horseback ride alone the beach at sunset.
In the evenings, dine at local favorites recommended by the owners and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves from your hillside room.
The best way to reach Mint if you’re coming from outside Costa Rica is to fly into San José.
From here, you can drive (around 5 hours, including a 1.5-hour ferry ride) to Mint. There’s also the option to catch a domestic flight to Cobano which is faster. The flight takes 30 minutes from San José, and the taxi ride from Cobano to Mint 20 minutes.

When
to Travel
December to August
Visit between December and April for dry, sunny weather, or enjoy the green season’s lush vegetation and evening showers from May to August. Avoid the heavy rains in September and October.
