Loma del Ángel is a private luxury apartment in the heart of Havana’s historic district, recently declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Old town is a warren of colourful colonial facades, lively plazas and soaring cathedrals. Havana is one of the great cultural centres of Latin America, with a booming arts scene. Ask us for our favourite public galleries, private collections, ballet performances, club nights and recitals. With the rise in private ownership, the restaurant scene has also advanced considerably in recent years. We’ll be happy to direct you to our coolest roof-terraces, serving the freshest fish tacos and mojitos.
Slip through tall wooden doors into the cool, quietly refined hall. Loma del Ángel feels like a private home and delivers the sort of facilities that are hard to come by in Havana, including room-service, wifi, laundry, A-C, massages, childcare. The ground floor features a reception and dining area, with stairs leading to two suites on the second and third floors. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate. In typical Cuban style, guests are made to feel very much at home, with an excellent 24-hour butler and concierge service.
Two spacious suites feature king beds and private bathrooms with walk-in showers. There is space for four guests in total, but the suites can also be taken separately. The Living Room Suite includes plenty of living space and a small balcony with views over the streets of Old Havana. The Terrace Suite on the top floor has a gorgeous large terrace, where you can sit out in wicker chairs watching the world go by. The Terrace also has large comfy sofas and a coffee table, so it’s a perfect reading spot with candles and overflowing flower pots.
Loma del Ángel’s suites and living spaces are chic and simple. Each bedroom features natural woods, ironwork, comfortable furnishings and black framed windows and mirrors. Walls are decorated with contemporary artwork and floors are tiled art-deco style. Elegant linen curtains keep the rooms cool in the heat, leading to private outdoor spaces with views across the Havana skyline. Sheets are Egyptian cotton, topped with soft throws.
Breakfast is served either in your room or on the terrace and includes tea, coffee, juice, fresh fruit and pastries. Whilst there’s no restaurant, a special food and drinks menu is provided with 24-hour room-service.
Loma del Ángel is perfect for a romantic city break, dipping in and out of the action. For a family of four it works well to take the whole apartment, with the option to arrange extra beds and cots if required.
