Lapa Rios Lodge

WELCOME TO LAPA RIOS LODGE

Wake up to the inimitable sounds of the jungle as you watch the sun rising over the sea from the deck of your treetop bungalow.

Sustainably built, largely open-air bungalows rise up from the rainforest to offer spectacular sea views.

Surrounded by lush green, your privacy will only be interrupted by howler monkeys and toucans.

Immerse yourself in the jungle with a wilderness tour of the lodge’s conservation zone, zip-line across the forest canopy, swim the pristine Pacific waters, or just sit back on the balcony and soak up the view.

What we love about Lapa Rios Lodge

  • That the lodge protects 1,000 acres of Central America’s last remaining tropical lowland rainforest.
  • The indoor-outdoor experience of the 17 bungalows, with screens to keep out insects, while feeling immersed in the jungle.
  • The spectacular views as the sunrises over the sea in the corner of the Osa Peninsula.

When to Travel

May – November

The Osa peninsula, like most of the rest of Costa Ria, experiences its ‘green season’ from May to November. Temperatures are balmy at around 29°C during the day, but the peninsula is one of the wettest areas of this lush country, with peak rainfall in August, September and October.
