A thoughtful tented camp in the Colca Valley that reflects the simplicity and rawness of the Peruvian landscape.
Puqio is located deep in the center of the valley, which means dramatic canyon views, surreal grasslands, and tapping into what is truly essential in life — turning back to nature.
Only a three hour drive from Arequipa, Puqio and the valley can be reached via long, winding roads through spectacular mountains. As you reach the elevated safari-style hotel in one of the world’s deepest canyons, volcanoes, sweeping viewpoints, and untrodden pathways lead the way to daily exploration.

- Andean open-flame dining. Meals are prepared over fire, using local ingredients and ancestral techniques; dishes are earthy, refined, and deeply rooted in place.
- The opportunity for cultural connection. Take part in weaving workshops, visit archaeological sites, or hike to remote viewpoints with expert local guides.

From rest and relaxation to getting a taste of local life, Puqio is about moving at your own pace.
To set the pace of the day, start mornings slowly to savor every bit of the natural surrounding. With views unlike anything you’ve seen before, enjoy your morning tea and breakfast outdoors before heading to yoga or a gentle trek.
The afternoons are perfect for local exploration and the guides at Puqio will make sure you don’t leave without visiting the historical sites, local markets, and scenic spots. As for condor spotting, the region’s most famous activity, the best time to see them is from April to November, though with the right guidance, seeing them off-season is also possible.

Puqio sits about 1.5km southwest of the town of Yanque. To get here, you will fly into Arequipa, before being transferred 3hrs north to the lodge.
