Pousada Maravilha

FERNANDO DE NORONHA, BRAZIL

WELCOME TO POUSADA MARAVILHA

Pousada Maravilha sits above Baía do Sueste on Fernando de Noronha’s quieter southern side.

It’s one of the smaller properties on the island, and one of the most sought-after. There are just five bungalows and three suites, all positioned to face the ocean and take full advantage of the setting.

A short walk leads down to Baía do Sueste, one of the island’s most reliable spots for seeing turtles and rays in the water. Back at the pousada, the infinity pool and sauna look out over the bay, and the restaurant is a destination in its own right.

What we love about Pousada Maravilha

  • Its small scale keeps the atmosphere intimate and the service attentive.
  • Bungalows are set apart from each other, with private decks and wooden hot tubs overlooking the bay.
  • A restaurant widely regarded as one of the strongest on Noronha, serving local seafood and whatever arrives fresh each day.
  • The infinity pool and sauna, overlooking Baia do Sueste.
  • The property has a very high staff-to-guest ratio, allowing for deeply personalised service.
  • Plenty to do, from swimming and snorkelling in the bay to diving and boat trips around Noronha’s coastline.

What to do at Pousada Maravilha

Spend your time in and around the water – this is what Noronha is all about.

Snorkel in Baía do Sueste, keeping an eye out for sea turtles and rays, or head out by boat along the coastline to reach quieter beaches and hidden inlets. Diving is among the best in Brazil, with crystal-clear waters and coral reefs with abundant marine life.

On land, explore the island by buggy or on foot, following trails between beaches and viewpoints, or join guided excursions to learn more about Noronha’s wildlife and protected landscapes. Back at the Pousada, cool off in the pool, book a massage, or settle in for a dinner of moqueca (Brazilian seafood stew) on the deck while watching the sun drop over the Atlantic.

When to Travel

Fernando de Noronha can be visited year-round. August to November tends to bring the clearest water and best conditions for snorkelling and diving, while December to March is warmer, with greener landscapes and occasional tropical showers.
