Orinoco Delta Lodge

WELCOME TO ORINOCO DELTA LODGE

Settle into slower-paced life in this charming, family-run lodge which has a unique setting for exploring the labyrinth of rivers in the Delta.

Crafted in the traditional style of the Warao community, these thatched-roof huts serve as a base to embark on wildlife adventures & visits to indigenous communities. Their ethos is to maintain a low-impact operation, working in harmony with the surroundings of the Orinoco River Delta & the local community.

What we love about Orinoco Delta Lodge

  • The cabins have views of the immense jungle, whilst the river bungalows rest on stilts on the water
  • The kitchen prioritises a from-harvest-to-table approach, infusing flavours sourced from the delta
  • Canoes & kayaks at your disposal to explore the surroundings of the Lodge
  • Orinoco Delta Lodge maintains a strong commitment to engaging with the local community; the lodge helped set up a local school for Warao children.
  • Switch off from the outside world, with internet access limited to a few hours daily. Leave traffic noise behind & embrace the sounds of birdsong
What to do at Orinoco Delta Lodge

The incredible Orinoco Delta is home to one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world & the Warao indigenous community.

Explore the maze of the Delta by navigating its infinite channels & spotting incredible wildlife. Look out for giant otters, freshwater dolphins, jaguars, pumas, ocelots, capuchin monkeys & manatees.

Glide down the Orinoco River in a canoe, venture into the jungle guided by indigenous guides, take a dip at the freshwater beach & watch dolphins play in the river.

Journey down the river on a boat to enjoy an incredible Delta sunset. Return to the lodge for a hearty dinner with cocktails served in the cosy bar overlooking the river.
