Explora Torres del Paine

Patagonia, Chile
WELCOME TO EXPLORA TORRES DEL PAINE

A Patagonian conservation reserve set on 6,000 wild hectares beyond the granite towers of Torres del Paine.

This is Patagonia without the gloss: raw horizons, roaming wildlife, and the Torres peaks rising beyond the steppe. Set on a 15,000-acre private reserve north of the national park, Explora’s latest lodge – their second in Torres del Paine – takes you deep into a quieter, more remote corner of the region.

Surrounded by acres of stillness, this intimate ten-room hideaway invites guests to slow their pace. From here, the classic trails await – but so too do lesser-known routes, where the landscapes feel markedly more private.

What we love about Explora Torres del Paine

  • Just ten rooms – intimacy in one of Patagonia’s grandest settings.
  • Access to both the classic trails and the untrodden north of the park.
  • Horseback explorations led by gauchos who know every contour of the land.
  • Outdoor hot tubs, massage room and warm interiors built for the post-trek exhale.
  • Conservation at the heart of the reserve, with a chance to witness and participate.
What to do at Explore Torres Del Paine

Over 30 guided explorations invite you to walk, ride, roam, or simply linger.

Trek to the Towers Base and French Valley, or push further into the quieter folds of the park. Saddle up for horse riding across the steppe beside gauchos who move with the land.

Return to hot tubs beneath the stars, a massage room to ease the miles, and meals steeped in Patagonian tradition – world-renowned wines, seasonal menus, local ingredients, and asados at the quincho.

Your stay includes all explorations, meals, beverages, spa facilities, national park entrance fees, and round-trip airport transfers.

When to Travel

October to April

The lodge is open from October to April. For most travellers, late spring through summer (November to March) is the sweet spot, when wildlife is active, trails are fully open and Patagonia is in full stride. This time of year brings the longest days, clear conditions and daytime temperatures of around 16–20°C, though often tempered by wind.

Late March and April usher in early autumn, with softer light, fewer people on the trails and a steppe that changes colour by the week. It’s a beautiful time to visit, but expect cooler temperatures and the first snow at higher elevations.
