WELCOME TO CARTESIANO
Housed within restored 17th- and 18th-century mansions, in the quiet heart of Puebla’s historic centre, Cartesiano offers a retreat shaped by the centuries but with a contemporary rhythm.
Cartesiano’s 78 rooms and suites are spread across quiet courtyards and leafy terraces. A world-class spa, rooftop pools and two restaurants create space for both retreat and gathering. The layout is spacious with open-air corridors that give the building room to breathe.
With just the right balance of stillness and purpose, Cartesiano is a refined base for exploring Puebla.
What we love about Cartesiano
- A prime location in Puebla’s historic centre just steps from Callejón de los Sapos and the Zócalo.
- The blend of restored colonial architecture and contemporary design executed with purpose.
- Two solid in-house restaurants, Comedor 360 and Custodia, with local and international menus.
- A well-equipped spa and wellness area including a rooftop pool, steam room, and daily yoga or meditation sessions.
- Plenty of quiet corners and courtyards for downtime between city exploring.
- Rooms that are comfortable, well-designed and soundproofed.

What to do at Cartesiano
Start with the city on your doorstep, then retreat when you need space. Cartesiano is well-placed for both.
Mornings begin with slow breakfasts under vaulted ceilings and walks to the Callejón de los Sapos or El Parían market, both a few minutes from the hotel. Follow with visits to colonial churches, museums, and artisan studios scattered through the historic centre of Puebla.
Return to the hotel for a swim in the rooftop pool, a visit to the spa, or a quiet moment in one of the shaded courtyards. If you’re after something structured, the hotel offers wellness sessions, from sound therapy to yoga.
End the day taking in the views from the upper terraces, when the domes and towers of Puebla light up around you, before dinner at one of Cartesiano’s two restaurants.
