Casa dos Arandis is a beautifully designed, family-run boutique retreat on an unspoiled stretch of Bahia’s Maraú Peninsula.
Situated amid roughly 40 km of golden sands, coral pools, freshwater ponds and swaying coconut groves, Casa dos Arandis feels like a paradise hidden in plain sight. Built with sustainability in mind, its wooden bungalows and small houses make use of reclaimed materials and local craftsmanship.
Six intimate private bungalows and guesthouses open directly onto the beach and lush tropical gardens. Shared spaces include a volcanic‑rock Jacuzzi, spa with sauna, yoga and meditation pavilion, and a relaxed restaurant/bar serving regional cuisine and wood‑fired pizzas under the stars.

Wander the wild beaches of the Maraú Peninsula, swim in crystal-clear tide pools, or cycle along quiet sand tracks shaded by coconut trees. Explore nearby mangroves by canoe or paddleboard, or hike inland to find hidden waterfalls and freshwater lagoons.
Take a day trip to the stunning natural pools of Taipu de Fora at low tide, snorkel among colourful reef fish, or sail out for sunset on a traditional jangada boat. Back at the hotel, unwind with a massage, a yoga session, or wiith a book in a hammock, lulled by the sound of the waves.
When to travel
September to March
The best time to visit Casa dos Arandis is between September and March, when Bahia’s dry season brings long, sunny days and warm ocean breezes, perfect for beach adventures, tide pool swims, and barefoot exploring.
September and October are particularly peaceful, with fewer visitors and ideal conditions for snorkelling. From November to March, the weather stays warm and tropical, with only the occasional brief shower.
