The Coffee Triangle

The Eje Cafetero or “coffee axis” sits at the crossroads between the towns of Armenia, Manizales and Pereira in central Colombia. Every bit the bucolic idyll, bottle green hills are dotted with coffee plants, lolloping banana palms and exotic flora; straw-hatted farmers buzz along meandering roads in jeeps laden with spoils for market while pastures are grazed by plump, glossy-coated Brahman cattle.

We arrange coffee tastings and tours of the plantations, as well as visits to the market towns of Salento and Manizales and afternoons in the saddle accompanied by our beloved horse whisperer. You can also take to the skies and travel between haciendas by hot air balloon.

We have singled out a couple of delightful working farms and have access to one of the most spectacular properties in the region for private rental, complete with staff, horses and swimming pool.
