Estancia Rincón Chico

WELCOME TO ESTANCIA Rincón Chico

On the quiet coast of Argentine Patagonia, Estancia Rincón Chico is a private hideaway neighbored only by the wildlife it works to protect.

At Rincón Chico, you’ll be hosted by fifth-generation conservationists and an outstanding roster of marine and terrestrial wildlife, right within the natural sanctuary they call home.

This exclusive, family-owned ranch on the UNESCO-protected Peninsula Valdés offers a unique and comfortable stay, as well as privileged encounters with Magellanic penguins, orca whales, seal colonies, and Darwin’s rheas.

What we love about Estancia Rincón Chico

  • Your stay supports various wildlife protection initiatives carried out by Conservación Península Valdés (CPV), a local non-profit dedicated to conserving the majesty of the peninsula and the animals that populate its shores.
  • 8 comfortable rooms and private baths, each decorated to reflect the earthy hues of the Patagonian steppe.
  • Activities and excursions such as mountain biking, horse rides, and guided hikes, are all included in your stay.
  • With limited Wi-fi and no televisions, guests can enjoy the silence and privacy of their remote surroundings.
  • 16 kilometers of rugged, untamed coastline teeming with marine life along the Patagonian Sea.
What to do at Estancia Rincón Chico

Adding time on the shores of the Atlantic to your Patagonia itinerary is a worthy endeavor.

Nature enthusiasts in particular will be glad they took the unbeaten path to Rincón Chico, where some of the richest marine life on Earth flourishes just steps from their door. Two and a half hours from the nearest airport and far from any towns, guests wake each morning deep in the Patagonian wilds, keen to explore their undisturbed surroundings.

Bilingual biologists will guide you to spectacular view points to observe wildlife, through protected beaches, coastal cliffs, and hiking trails across the steppe. Those seeking a more active way to experience the landscape can hop on a mountain bike or explore by horseback. Each day ends with a stargazing session before cozying up by the fire.
