Casa Torre, Mexico | Plan South America

Luxury I Mexico I Private Properties

Hidden away on top of the dramatic cliffs of the Costa Careyes is Casa Torre, a colourful oasis that boasts a beautiful and eclectic collection of art, furniture and sculpture.

What we love about Casa Torre

  • Designed by Diego Villaseñor, the beautiful home is a series of thatched roof palapas, interwoven with open living areas
  • There are five bungalow suites, each with a terrace overlooking Playa Rosa and the ocean
  • Exotic gardens designed by renowned landscape artist Eric Nagelmann of Lotusland
  • Remarkable collection of art and design pieces throughout the house and its gardens
  • 24ft Boston Whaler called “The Medusa” anchored below the house with a private captain
  • Located in a private gated community and has private beach access
  • Stunning infinity pool with panoramic views across the Pacific Ocean
  • It’s in a biosphere reserve that is home to 70 species of mammals, 270 species of birds, and over 1200 species of plants

What to do at Casa Torre?

Casa Torre is a place for disconnection. Relax next to the infinity pool, find a shady spot in the botanical gardens to get lost in your book or organise a massage in your room.

Hop onto the boat to find magical, secluded coves along the Costa Careyes coastline, explore the emerald waters and rich sealife with a snorkel or discover the local wildlife in the Cuixmala Ecological Preserve.

Fresh ingredients are prepared by the chef each day and served al-fresco under the pergola.

Map & location

Casa Torre sits along the Pacific coastline of Mexico, in the heart of Chamela-Cuixmala Biosphere Reserve. It is 1 hour 15 minutes from Manzinillo International Airport and 2 hours 30 minutes from Puerto Vallarta Airport. Transportation is offered to and from the Manzinillo International Airport. There is also the possibility to organise a private charter between Puerto Vallarta and Careyes.

Both airports can be easily reached from other Mexcian cities, such as Oaxaca, as well as from Los Angeles, Houston and Dallas.

When to Travel

The best time to visit is between November and April when there is little rain and a lot of sunshine.

We also recommend visiting between June and November when sea turtles land along the coast to nest. Hatching usually occurs between August and early November.
